Just a short flight from the U.S. lies Haiti—a country with a powerful history of resilience. It was the first nation in the world where enslaved people overthrew their oppressors and claimed freedom. But in recent years, Haiti has faced unimaginable hardship: earthquakes, political unrest, and now, gangs controlling entire cities.
In the midst of it all, the children at OMFCA press on—learning, growing, and living in the care of Pastor and his wife.
Not Focused on Getting Bigger—Focused on Caring Better
We’re not trying to expand the orphanage. Our focus is on making sure every child already in our care is fully supported. What does better care look like?
- A fully funded monthly budget
- A dedicated emergency fund
- Sponsors for annual expenses like education and rent
- A higher education savings fund for the future
Let us be clear: God has provided every step of the way. But the reality is, we’re still falling short of meeting the full monthly needs. Pastor is incredibly resourceful, but when unexpected costs arise, like a spike in electricity, food has to be rationed.
We don’t want them to just get by. We want every child to have enough to eat. We want every bill paid on time. We want room to breathe when emergencies hit.
As Paul writes in Philippians 4:18:
“I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received… the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.”
This is the care we want to extend. We aim to be the partners who ease the burden. We do not want to add to it.
Here’s how we’re supporting the orphanage as of May 2025:
- We are currently sending $3,000 a month, and our goal is $5,000
- Currently, we have $5,000 in our emergency fund, and our goal is $10,000
- Every year, we’re providing $20,000 for educational expenses ($1,200.00 per student)
- Every year, we pay $25,000 for rent
Three Areas Where You Can Make a Difference
1. Monthly Support
We’re so grateful for the donors who give monthly—it’s the backbone of everything we do. But we’re still not meeting the full monthly need. Could you join us as a monthly donor or consider increasing your gift?
2. Annual Sponsors for Education & Rent
These two costs are the most pressing each year. Having individuals, churches, or businesses commit to these would relieve a huge burden. Think of it like adopting part of the orphanage’s annual budget.
3. Savings for Emergencies & College
Emergencies will come. Higher education is on the horizon. One of the oldest children in the orphanage is heading to nursing school this fall. This is an incredible milestone. It is a call to prepare for others who will follow.
Let’s love these kids like family.
We don’t want them to just survive. We want them to thrive and have a sustainable future.
Imagine this: It’s dinner time, and the kids gather around a full table. They have three balanced meals a day. There’s no rationing and no worry. Pastor isn’t stretching every dollar or skipping repairs. Instead, he’s focused on mentoring, studying Scripture, and being in the moment with the kids. His wife isn’t shouldering it alone—she’s leading alongside helpers. When a child gets sick, there’s money already set aside for care. When the oldest heads off to nursing school, tuition is ready and waiting—because we planned for it. In the evenings, the kids laugh over movies. They finish their homework with working lights. They rest well knowing tomorrow is secure. That’s what it looks like when the body of Christ steps in—not just to rescue, but to restore. Let’s be a part of making that story real.
Every gift helps build stability, security, and hope. Thank you for being part of their story.
