A nine-year-old girl with no education. With no guarantee of tomorrow. With no parents to provide for her. A nine-year-old girl living alongside the streets of Haiti filled with the debris of fallen buildings and the pain of fallen bodies. With a new reality of no Mom or Dad, she was left uncertain about her future.
What would you do if you were this nine-year-old girl? How would you feel? Who would you run to?
This is Rebecca’s* story. After enduring the horrendous earthquake she was brought to the orphanage by her uncle. He sought out Pastor R because he knew he couldn’t take care of her. He went to Pastor R, the orphanage’s founder because he knew he would help her.
We’re happy to report that Rebecca is now 21 and finishing school next year! She has thrived over the last 12 years living at the orphanage. There, she has a family supporting her. She’s getting an education to equip her to be a successful adult in Haiti. She is also being discipled in the Word of God!
Rebecca’s story is compelling, but it’s not unique. Every child living at the orphanage has a heartbreaking story that led them to the orphanage. But, praise God that this wasn’t the end of their stories. Pastor R and his wife, A, are doing the everyday work to be the hands and feet of Jesus. They raise these kids as their own.
Our organization was created in 2021. Our mission is to financially and prayerfully support the orphanage. This support allows them to focus on caring for the kids in their care. We are focused on increasing our reach. This will allow us to continue to sacrificially serve the orphanage. We do this as Jesus sacrificially gave his life for us!

The Urgent Need: Education & Monthly Support
After meeting the kids’ physical needs, providing them with an education is our next priority. We want the kids to flourish as citizens of Haiti and Heaven, and it starts with educating them today!
Education is the key to providing the kids with the tools they need. These tools will help them have a future of contribution and service to their community.
Young adults in Haiti who don’t have an education face numerous challenges. They scrounge for daily necessities. Some attempt to start businesses with minimal or no access to resources. Others seek to leave Haiti illegally in search of work, or they pledge themselves to a gang.
(Read our blog “Education Is a Lifeline: How Supporting Haitian Orphans Transforms Lives and Futures“. It explains more about the importance of education in Haiti).
In Haiti, education isn’t free. We thank God that every child in the orphanage has attended school every year since 2019. This is a big achievement! It’s also a big financial investment.
This is where we need generous people like you. Make an eternal investment today. This will result in an eternal impact. The kids will flourish as citizens of Haiti and Heaven!
The Challenge of Monthly Support: Highlight the orphanage’s struggle to cover essential monthly expenses—food, healthcare, utilities—without consistent funding.
We know it’s impossible for your body to grow if we don’t have our necessities met. It’s also impossible to focus on learning in such a situation. The kids at the orphanage need their basic needs met. This is essential if we want them to excel in school. It also prepares them to contribute to their community as adults.
Currently, we have enough consistent monthly donations to send 70% of what we should be sending to the orphanage. This amount is sent each month to meet their basic needs.
Increasing our monthly donations by 30% ($1,500/month) would ensure the orphanage has enough food all month. It would ensure they have money for unexpected medical needs. They would also be able to set aside money to pay for energy sources.
The orphanage’s monthly support from our organization pays for:
- Food
- Utilities (charcoal/gas for cooking, running their water, electricity at night or during darker seasons)
- Medical needs if they arise (doctor visits, getting medicine for things like a fever or pain)
- Transportation costs (gas or if they need to rent a vehicle as needed)
Raising our monthly donations by $1,500 would supply the orphanage with over a week’s worth of food. These donations also provide essential resources! This would increase their quality of life exponentially throughout the month!
How You Can Help: Three Ways to Make a Difference
Commit to a Monthly Gift
We are extremely grateful for the ways that the Lord has provided through generous donors. However, we know that to continue caring for Pastor R and his wife A, we need to garner more support.
The orphanage’s founders have been operating on 50-70% of what they truly need every month for years! Please pray and ask God to show you how you can contribute monthly. This will help them be cared for well.
Additionally, we want to know that every child’s education is provided for BEFORE we have to pay for tuition. See how your giving level benefits the kids in the orphanage:
When you give
- $25 a month you’re helping provide an extra meal for the entire family
- $50 a month you’re contributing to half of a child’s education fees for the school year (grab a friend and make it 100%)
- $100 a month you’re sponsoring one child’s education for the school year
- $250 a month you’re helping to provide more electricity throughout the month
Commit to monthly giving knowing your donation is an investment into Haiti’s next generation of Christians.

Real Impact: A Story of Hope
Share a short, emotional story of a child whose life has changed because of donors.
Include a compelling image or video testimonial if available.
A couple of years ago, a few of our Board Members visited Haiti. They took some time to learn more about the kids’ experiences before living at the orphanage. They also learned about their experiences afterward.
Here are a few of their responses:
“My life is changed. I prayed for learning and now I am in school. When I get older I want to become a better person. I want to become a mechanic”
“Now I have everything that I need; food, and school! When I am older I want to be a mechanic.”
“Life is better because I have a family to take care of me.”
Their responses tell us a lot about the benefits of being at the orphanage. Before they didn’t have basic needs like food, water…or people to take care of them. Now they have what they need to survive. They are surrounded by a family that loves them. This family wants to help them flourish as citizens of Haiti and Heaven!

Closing Thought
The Lord is the one who provides and moves the hearts of his children to give generously. Prayerfully consider becoming a financial supporter. The impact increases when we all use the good gifts God has given us. This commitment helps bless those with less.
