“My first donation was shortly after I had sold some property. An announcement was made at church. There were a certain number of students needing funds for school.
I normally wouldn’t have had the money on hand to cover the full need. But at that moment in time, I did. I felt God’s peace immediately after the announcement.
I talked it over with my soon-to-be-spouse. This confirmed that God was moving in both of our hearts.
The joy that comes with God’s peace is so great that you will do anything to remain in it. I knew that if we obeyed His leading, we would experience the joy He offered fully at that moment.
I was a single parent working multiple jobs and remained below the poverty line for years. God blessed me immensely with a career and timely opportunities. Now, I not only have enough, but I have more than enough.
I have prayed. I continue to pray that my love for Him will always be greater than comfort, money, or the American dream.
I know God was with me when we had little; every need was met. It’s a joy to use what He’s given us to bless others. We encourage them that He is with them too.”
