We got this message from Pastor in July – it’s hard to read, but it’s important to share.
“Peace and grace be with you brethern. Just let you know that the kids are on vacation. They are home all day long eating, playing, and joking, and so on. That means they are eating much and now food is too low right now. No breakfast no dinner for them. Just let you know. And pray for more help.” Pastor

It can be easy to think of monthly donations as a small thing, or think that other people will pitch in so you can wait it out until the next big need comes up. We’re guilty of thinking that way too sometimes!
But, Pastor’s message is their reality.
When the kids are home for the summer they’re eating more food at home, which makes the cost of groceries go up. This is true of our budget here in the U.S, too, so this shouldn’t be surprising.
The difference is that the orphanage is already receiving less money than they need to provide three meals every day for the kids which includes more than rice and beans, AND still be able to budget for transportation, and utilities and have money set aside for emergency medical needs.
The only way to change this reality is for more people to donate monthly.
Can you take time to prayerfully consider committing to giving monthly?

As you pray ask the Lord to provide the finances so you can donate monthly.
And ask the Lord to make it clear to you if this is the time to give.
Then, if the Lord says yes, take a leap of faith knowing that the Lord will reward you in Heaven because you have cared for the least of these; that you have served and cared for other image-bearers.
Every dollar counts.
